MEIZU Warranty for End User (Limited Warranty Statement)

  1. 1. This limited warranty is only valid in Singapore and performed by MEIZU Authorized Service Center.
  2. 2. Warranty only applies to “Original” product manufactured by MEIZU and purchased from MEIZU “Authorised” distributor/dealers/retailers in Singapore, with original IMEI number intact.
  3. 3. Please present valid original proof of purchase (receipt)at the service drop-off counter.
  4. 4. The limited warranty for MEIZU “Original” product is One Year. Product is warranted for the specified warranty period from the date of retail purchase against manufacturing defects only.
  5. 5. Lead time for all warranty services will vary by the model and claim issue. All diagnosis and service works will be carried out, based on the professional judgement provided by MEIZU Authorized Service Center.
  6. 6. Products that received reparations previously, will be warranted for the remaining period of the original warranty, or 30 days from the date of complete repair, whichever is longer.
  7. 7. The replaced parts, boards or other materials shall be seen as properties of MEIZU Authorized Service Center after the product reparation.
  8. 8. It is your responsibility to secure and/or back up any programs, data or other information stored in the product. You must also erase any confidential/personal information contained in the product before approaching the service drop-off counter. The authorised service partner assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage caused by or in connection with programs, data or other information in the product, howsoever caused, whether during servicing of the product, through use of synchronisation software for the product, or otherwise.
  9. 9. It is your responsibility to remove any accessories or other attachments to the product before approaching the service drop-off counter for servicing. The authorised service partner shall not be liable for any loss, damage or destruction to any such accessories or other attachments which were not removed.
  10. 10. This warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and tear.
    1. Example: A rechargeable battery can be charged and discharged hundred times, resulting in eventual wear-out. This does not constitute a defect error
  11. 11. Minor variations in the appearance of the camera image occur between products. This is not uncommon in digital cameras and does not mean that the camera is defective in any way.
  12. 12. For the avoidance of doubt, minor imperfections within design specifications that do not materially alter functionality of the product will not be considered a defect.
  13. 13. To the normal incidence of off-coloured or dark pixels in LCD screens as described in the User Manual for the product. MEIZU Authorized Service Center will only repair the product if there are (a) 8 or more dark pixels in the screen (unless 2 or more are adjoining dark pixels) or (b) 2 or more bright pixels in the screen.
  14. 14. You will bear for the fees of sending the product to MEIZU Authorized Service Center, as well as the fees and risks of shipping, delivering and handling the product from MEIZU Authorized Service Center.
  15. 15. MEIZU Authorized Service Center is not responsible for any duties and obligations that are beyond the scope of this Limited Warranty, nor does it empower its Authorized Service Center or individual to take the liability.
  16. 16. To the fullest extent permitted by law, authorised Singapore distributor/dealers/retailers shall not be in any way liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special or similar damages whatsoever arising from or in connection with the use, inability to use or performance of the product. In no event shall any recovery against the authorised Singapore distributor/dealers/retailers exceed the actual price paid for the purchase of the product.
  17. 17. MEIZU Authorized Service Center reserves the right to refuse any service at its sole discretion.
  18. 18. This limited warranty information, product functions, specifications and service terms could be amended at any time without prior notice.

 

Warranty shall NOT apply if the defect was caused through any of the following:

  1. 1. Damage of label or anti tamper label due to product repairing; issues arising from unauthorized maintenance, disassembling, conversion, adjustment or modification; system damage or problem arising from unauthorized modification of the software.;
  2. 2. Defects or damage resulting from accidents, neglect, misuse or abnormal use, mishandling, improper storage, exposure to liquid, moisture, dampness, sand, or dirt, unusual physical, electrical or electromechanical stress and other external causes or factors;
  3. 3. Product once repaired or disassembled by third-parties other than MEIZU Authorized Service Center;
  4. 4. Signal error or disconnection caused by carrier’s service problem;
  5. 5. Arising from operating with components or accessories (ancillary or peripheral equipment) not officially authorized or provided by MEIZU Authorized Service Center or used in other than its intended use;
  6. 6. The product serial number, label, sealing, the accessory date code or the IMEI number has been removed, erased, defaced altered or is illegible…etc.;
  7. 7. Locked product without valid original purchase invoice shall not be enjoying this Limited Warranty, and MEIZU Authorized Service Center is entitled to refuse to unlock the product;
  8. 8. Arising from software incompatibility or any third-party applications;
  9. 9. Physical and cosmetic damage caused after sales will not be considered as manufacturer error. You are strongly advised to check before any purchase
